The sci-fi novelist Isaac Asimov coined the term “Frankenstein complex” to describe fear of robots. That sense of disturbance at the simulacrum of humanity is something that echoes society’s relationship to technology. London’s V&A museum’s new series of events “Decode”, however, paint a more inspiring vision of the future. The program focuses on interactive design projects, performance, computer design and games, including work by innovative names like Daniel Rozin, Golan Levin and Troika. Highlights include Radiohead’s “House of Cards” video, an ever-evolving map of the globe’s flight patterns and a digital tree with kickable leaves.
