Position Summary: Direct sales position with primary focus on developing our B to B and government channels for all wholesale products
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, pursue, and sell to private and government prospects as well as some to be assigned
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
- Prepare presentations, RFPs, RFIs, proposals and sales contracts
- Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
- Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
- Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
- Identify and resolve client concerns
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
- Follow-up for collection of payment.
- Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services
- Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
- Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Self-motivated and driven. Ability to persuade and influence others
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of hospitality and government procurement processes a plus
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public
- BA/BS degree and three to five years of proven sales or marketing experience
- Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- 50%+ domestic travel required…30% overnight
