Warehouse/Manufacturing Team Member
*FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: (WILL VARY BY POSITION)
*
- Efficiently operate quilting line or ball polyester fiber production line
- Threads needles and loopers and adjusts tension
- Sets up top and backing material
- Changes needle positions as needed
- Adjusts Panel Cut & Sew Systems per production requirements
- Regularly checks measurements of quilted and sewn panels
- Operates computers as related to Quilting and Sew & Cut Systems
- Notifies Maintenance Department of Potential issues with machines in area of responsibilities
- Must be willing and able to learn maintenance maintenance and procedures on new and unique machinery and equipment
- Maintains facilities within the warehouse and offices. Emphasis on manufacturing equipment
- Repair and maintain broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or devices
- Examine for defects such as breakage or excessive wear and consult with supplier if needed
- Operate newly repaired machinery or device to verify adequacy of repairs
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or devices to diagnose malfunctions
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, and verbal feedback to diagnose equipment problems
- Record repairs and maintenance performed
- Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary
- Performs preventive maintenance (PM) as described and recommended by equipment manufactures
- Establishes PM programs for machinery and devices when not provided by manufacturer
- Prepares product for, and completes, final packaging
- Ability to adapt to product changes
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Meet plant attendance requirements
- Assist with additional projects as required
- Attention to detail - Fill out all required paperwork including but not limited to Operator Report, Quality Checks, line Condition Reports, etc
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to lift 25-50 pounds and stand for more than 8 hours if required
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast pace environment
- Strong interpersonal, human relations, and problem solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule
